Haikyuu!! Seeing Bokuto and Kuroo With Their Hair Down

The latest Haikyuu!! collaboration has finally answered a question that has plagued fans for a decade, and that is what Kuroo and Bokuto's hair looks like when it's down.

As per Redbeanime, Haikyuu!! has collaborated with Raku Spa and unexpectedly dropped two illustrations of Kuroo and Bokuto fans never thought they would get to see. Nekoma and Fukurodani's captains Kuroo and Bokuto have rather unique hairstyles, with the former having part of his bangs hanging over his eyes while he spikes up the rest and the latter looking like an owl. The two have never been seen with their hair down in the anime or the manga.

As @/AniNinjaSpaz noted, "for years [Haikyuu!!] artists have done advanced mathematics and 3D analyses to figure out what these two would look like with their hair down," and now, thanks to the Raku Spa collaboration, they no longer need to go to such scientific lengths. Haikyuu!!'s mangaka supervised the illustrations.

The collaboration runs from June 1 to 25, during which fans must visit one of the 32 Raku Spa stores. Fans will need to purchase an admission ticket and a Haikyuu!! set to receive a randomized limited edition towel. The towels come in nine versions, with six featuring one of the characters, two from Karasuno, two from Nekoma and two from Fukurodani. The other three designs are of the slogans from the three schools. Fans can also visit the café and indulge in delicious food with their favorite characters, such as Kageyama's deep-fried volleyball bowl, Kuroo's control tower coke drink or Bokuto's all-powerful curry.

Haruichi Furudate's Haikyuu!! began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in February 2012, where it ran until July 2020. While the story is a simple one, revolving around a boy named Shoyo Hinata who, after falling in love with the sport, aspires to become a great volleyball player, Haikyuu!! has stolen fans' hearts for its character journeys, intense matches and has earned praise for its ability to focus on, not just Karasuno, but on characters from other teams. The manga has over 55 million copies in circulation as of August 2022.

Haikyuu!! has inspired an anime adaptation that began in April 2014. The most recent season, Season 4, ended in December 2020 and covered the Karasuno versus Inarizaki match, where Karasuno came out on top against their formidable opponent. In August 2022, Haikyuu!! revealed the series will conclude with a two-part animated film, but the announcement worried fans about how they may adapt more than 100 chapters in two movies. A kick-off event for the film will take place in August 2023.
